      After a while you learn
      the subtle difference between
      holding a hand...
      and chaining a soul
      and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning.
      Company doesn't always mean security.
      You begin to learn
      that kisses aren't contracts and
      presents aren't promises.
      and you begin to accept your defeats
      with your head up and your eyes ahead
      with the grace of a woman
      not the grief of a child.
      you learn
      to build your roads on today
      because tomorrows ground is too uncertain for plans
      and futures have a way of falling down in midflight.
      After a while you learn
      that even sunshine burns
      if you get too much.
      So plant your garden
      and decorate your soul
      instead of waiting
      for someone to bring you flowers
      And you learn
      that you really can endure...
      that you really are strong...
      and you really "do" have worth
      and you learn...
      and you learn...
      With every goodbye...
      you learn.

      "I watched my stepdad die of a broken heart.
      My mom told me once he never
      hugged her or told her he loved her.
      After her final days of a horrible bout with Lymphoma/Leukemia
      I watched him slowly fade without her.
      She said she always knew he loved her,
      Just didn't know how to show it or say it.
      She passed away July 11,1994. Dad, Dec. 11, 1997.
      Never ever hesitate to tell the ones you love
      just how much you love them. Because if you wait,
      Tomorrow,  may never come".



      This Dove put here as a sign of my endearing love
      and support of cancer patients, and their families, world wide!
